insta-inspiration

I use to think that the only people who could make a blog were those who could actually afford the new Celine bag or Prada sunglasses, and although its clear that those people make for a more interesting blog I now believe that anyone can look just as great no matter your budget. I recently bought a bag from H&M very similar to this Celine tote, now I have the perfect bag to bring to school.
Sex and the City is probably one of my favorite shows ever. I even take Sex and the City trivia games from time to time. So don't be surprised to see a quote from the series or movies every now and then.
Indulge in the things that make you happy, you only live once.

“Charlotte: Imagine, being blind and not being able to see a beautiful day like today. Can you think of anything worse?
Anthony: Stonewashed jeans and a matching jacket.”

-Sex and the City

1. H&M bag (similar Celine)
2. Comfy Knits for the cooler weather
3. My Nook & Teen Vogue
4.The perfect shade of pink lipstick (Revlon "Pink In The Afternoon") and nude lipgloss (Revlon "Nude Lustre")

five looks, five rules.

These are some of my favorite looks that inspire me when getting dressed in the morning. Sometimes its great to have a bit of motivation to help you decide what to wear because when you feel good about yourself you function better. I usually gravitate to more simple and classic pieces but these are the five looks and rules that I've promised myself I would try to incorporate in my wardrobe.
1.Pairing bold & neurtal colors (Karla's Closet)

2. Accessorize: mix matching colors & styles (Sincerely, Jules)
3. Comfortable sweater with a pattern button-up (Blushing Ambition)
4. Different prints and textures (Karla's Closet)
5.Menswear with a femine touch (The Style Blogger)

for the sole.

“It's really hard to walk in a single woman's shoes -- that's why you sometimes need really special shoes!”
-Carrie Bradshaw

I was looking through my closet and I think its time for more shoes, heels in particular. Here are my choices, which I plan to buy before the month is out (well maybe not the Gucci pumps). Like many women I know I find shoes and bags the most satisfying thing to shop for since it will almost always look right. You never have to worry about a shoe or bag not fitting for your body type (most times anyway).

1. Gucci suede platform pumps
2. Steve Madden "Gretta" chestnut suede
3. Aldo "Rinderer"
4. Steve Madden "Gretta" black suede
5. Steve Madden "Bevv L" leopard
6. Aldo "Lewi" suede

design inspiration

So I'm still on a mission to upgrade my room. The major problem with my room is that I have different color furniture which makes it hard for me to design it the way I would like. I know your probably thinking I should just throw away everything and start from scratch but my mom didn't like that idea at all seeing how I just redid my room last year. She did however agree to buy me a new bed since my current bed is a twin and gives me back problems (well that was my argument anyway). Right now I have mostly wood furniture with a white shelf and glass desk, not to mention my zebra night stand. It makes me laugh thinking about the collage of furniture in this room. Ive been saving inspirational pictures, I'm thinking white with a few black and pink accent pieces. But I'm mostly looking for a white room where I can feel calm and inspired. Ive posted a blog about room design inspirations before but I think these photos capture the look I'm going for much better. If you have any photos you'd like to share feel free! Hope you enjoy the photos and get inspired.

three ways.

I spent the day at home with my sister and we decided it was the perfect time to take pictures for our blogs. I decided to wear my black skirt and pair it with three different tops for three different looks. We took the pictures on the roof of my building and the wind was crazy and my hair would not cooperate but it was worth it. The cheetah shirt is my favorite look. Which one do you like?

Today after school I decided to take some pictures of my outfit for my blog. Its been hard finding time to actually take pictures due to the lack of photographer and camera. These pictures are from my iPhone, not the ideal camera but hey its better than nothing right? I wore a pretty casual outfit today. My sister wasn't really feeling my head scarf but for some reason it makes me happy and i promised myself I would wear whatever makes me happy no matter how odd I might appear to others. Also on my list is wearing bold colors and prints so hopefully you'll be seeing pictures of those soon.
Ive recently found this new blog, i love finding new blogs, and I'm completely inspired by Karla's Closet. Her sense of style is what I wish to some day achieve.
Be safe!

the smokey eye.

I have major problems when it comes to putting on make up, especially attempting a smokey eye. I usually end up looking like I have a black eye. However, my older sister, Trisann,  has this make up thing down. She's constantly watching videos and trying new looks so I thought it would be beneficial to both me and my viewers to have her makeover both me and my younger sister, Antoinette. The results were amazing, if you'd like to see an actual tutorial please leave comments and let me know :)

The picture of the eye pallet is not the actual one I have. I had to google it since my actual pallet fell and looked a mess. Also the eye pallet is from Forever 21 (similar here) and very affordable for those of you trying this for the first time.

LOVE,
Tiffles
I'm wearing: black, brown and champagne on my eyes
Antoinette is wearing: black, emerald and a champagne color

A special thanks to my sister! look out for her make up and all things beauty blog coming soon!
