a celebrity inspired Halloween

I know Halloween is only a day away but if your anything like me, you have no costume and dont plan on waiting on those long lines to get into a costume store. Unlike my two sisters who dress up as sexy ___ (ie. sexy cop, sexy indian girl, sexy prison girl) Ive always dreamed of being a gorilla for Halloween. I promise myself every October that Im actually going to purchase a gorilla costume (Ive been dying to be a gorilla for 3 years now) but the price of such costume ranges from 70$-150$. Which I think is ridiculous for something I'll only wear once but I will continue dreaming. So after watching this turorial from one of my favorite bloggers, Chriselle Lim, Ive decided to maybe try a celebrity inspired outfit. Here are my choices! hope this helps some of you narrow down some ideas!

Im very obsessive compulsive in the sense that i make list of everything including shopping lists. These are just a few of the things I have on my list to pick up on my next shopping trip. Being part of the blogging world has really inspired me to step up my wardrobe. Im craving for  a sequin clutch, two colored collard shirt, leather jacket and both gold and beaded bracelets. 

DIY braided Hex Nut Bracelet

I found this DIY bracelet here (click for full directions) and i thought it seemed easy enough (it took me an hour). You can find all materials at your local Home Depot. It cost me less than 10 bucks! and turned out great!. I asked the guy at the Home Depot for rope and he suspiciously asked, "what will you be using it for?" and i replied "well not to tie anyone up with".

TIP: You might want to tie one end to a pole or something sturdy in order to braid it.

its a happy place.

I love that feeling I get when looking at flowers, there just so romantic and girly. It just makes me happy. Heres just a couple of pictures taken from my iphone. I attempted to find a place for some of my victoria secret stuffed dogs that I use to collect (see below). These are just the things that make me happy in my room right now. what makes you feel happy in your room?

                 

Fall Must Haves: Accessories

Here are some accessory trends ive noticed. You'll see me sporting a variation of these trends as well. I try not to get too caught up in trends that i dont think will be wearable in months to come, so i selected the few things that i believe ill always want to wear. Hope you guys agree :)

Leopard is a must! ive been a fan of leopard before it started becoming so popular to wear and i must say i dont ever see myself getting tired of it! If you think its too bold of a print try adding one small piece to your outfit such as a bag or a scarf, while staying neutral with everything else. I promise it will make the outfit!

Sturctured bags such as these one-shoulders ive chosen always manage to give you a put together look. I love things that make me look polished and sophisticated and these bags are just the trick.

Statement necklaces are another trend that i believe helps a outfit pop. whether pairing it with a simple dress or over a button up shirt it always manages to take your outfit to the next level.
